| About GIFS Program |
| GTI IT Finishing School Program (GIFS Program) is an Industry-Academia bridge initiative of GTI. The spectre of a severe shortage of knowledge workers in the IT/ITES sectors by 2010, is hanging over the country like the sword of Damocles. Although, India contributes a significant 28 per cent to the total talent pool of knowledge workers globally, it is estimated that the country will face a severe skill shortage of 500000 knowledge workers by 2010. GIFS Program is specially designed to create an IT workforce who is equipped by all means to be true IT Professionals. |

While demographics clearly weigh in the country’s favour, quality of the workforce does not. The problem is more of suitability than of availability of labour. The GIFS Program curriculum follows a 360 degree approach thereby ensuring an overall development of a student to a professional.
